Chapter 10: Rule of Miracles 2

When Arthur woke up, he felt uncomfortable, he felt uneasy. Pieces of photon sensors were stuck to his skin which made him itch in pain. A meter was beeping loudly beside him, as if laughing at the his ignorance.

“Do not move, your medical examination isn’t over yet.”  The voice of a woman said. It was very sweet, but not too sweet.  The smell of her perfume was like a rose, and just as sweet as her voice. Her sweetness was just right, not too thick, but not too light.

Arthur did not like the sweetness, nor did he dislike it.

The youth was still confused, his eyes were covered by a blindfold and the dark was making him more uncomfortable. He suppressed his gloomy mood and asked with a husky voice, “Medical examination? Where am I? Who is my next opponent?”

“Opponent? What are you talking about, you little fool? You just had a fierce battle within the simulation, you just woke up and now you want to fight again? I really don’t know what your head is thinking.” The sweet voice replied.

“A simulation battle?” His heart was beginning to burn, “Wait a minute, where is this?!”

 “What are you saying, stupid?” The woman replied, “This is of course the medical room.”

“Medical room? What medical room? Where is this medical room?!” Arthur asked.

“Of course it is the medical room of the North Heaven Knights, little fool!” The woman’s voice said with a chuckle, “Why are you asking questions like this, stupid?”

Arthur suddenly realized. —- Sure enough it was stupid. He can not help but become utterly furious.

“His fighting ability is truly outstanding, only his head is not very sound, right?” A man’s voice sounded. At the same time, his footsteps rattled inside the medical room.

Still blindfolded, the youth instantly recognized that voice. It was the voice of the masked man that kidnapped him.

“You……..” Arthur angrily said. Ignoring the pain, he jumped out from the bed.

“Oh…..did I say that your examination is over?” The woman quickly stopped him.

In anger, the youth forcefully ripped off the blindfold in his eyes and rained curses like a hail, ignoring the presence of the lady beside him.

Removing the blindfold, what appeared in front of him was a knight and a girl.

When he saw the face of the knight, the youth immediately swallowed his anger and choked back the words he were about to continue blasting.

This man was tall and strong, and there was a hint of a mischievous smile on his slightly old face. His brown hair was slightly grayed out due to the baptism of years, but his pair of dark green eyes excludes with the cunning glorious luster of an urchin.

None of this was good to describe this man. In fact, the simplest word to describe him is:

——– Drunkard.

This guy was a drunkard who likes to drink alcohol. But which knight would dare get drunk while performing his official duties? If they were caught, they would instantly be expelled!!!!

However, throughout the North Heaven Knights, there was only one person who can be so arrogant and reckless………

Standing in front Arthur, it was none other than the head of the North Heaven Knights, Grand Duke Leodegrance. Arthur had seen this person from afar in numerous ceremonies of the North Heaven Knights.

——This man was an unreachable person.

And beside him with a flowing beautiful dark brown hair, smooth white skin, with two gorgeous green brilliant sapphire eyes was a girl. She was his baby daughter, a genius of medical science, a talented girl, and the dream of any knight. She is the Chief Medical Officer of the North Heaven Knights, Miss Guinevere Leodegrance!

——-Another unreachable person.

Arthur never even dreamed that he would be surrounded by these two people in this small medical room. But the anger in his heart at the moment overshadowed his consternation and fame.

“You…..aren’t you Lord Grand Duke Leodegrance?”Arthur forcefully lowered his voice, afraid he would suddenly scream in rage, “In the past two days, are you the one toying with me?”

“Toying? Not really! —— It was only a special isolation of a knight, aiming to implement a training exercise within the simulation.” The head of the North Heaven Knights said, “Anyway, the new simulation facility needed a new tester so…….hehehe!”

Damn you!! Damn your fucking tests. Arthur was furious at him.

“This lowly person has always been respectful to the Lord Grand Duke……” The youth said. He had a world of reason to be angry, but in the face of such great people, he had to suppress his anger. Otherwise…….

“—– I have always respected your Lordship. Until today, I did not know the Grand Duke likes to joke on people……”

Arthur could not help but compare this Celestial Knight and his own master====Richard Leodegrance. Are they really father and son?

The Grand Duke Leodegrance disdainfully scorned, “Hey, you can’t even stand a simple joke of mine? Don’t be so hard-headed boy. Take this as your punishment for killing off the leader of that Viking Fleet three days ago. You killed my fun, so I had to play with you, isn’t that fair?”

“You,,,,,you knew?!” Arthur was shocked, and his heart almost stopped.

“Isn’t is as clear as day? The Cavalry Gunboat you rode has a monitor. Until before it crashed and was totally destroyed, it recorded visible images. Including you cruelly and savagely killing Vikings — the —— whole —— process.”

“Urgh…….” The youth Arthur was stunned. He blamed himself for being stupid and not being able to expect this little matter. Next time, he will make the gunboat crash in an even spectacular fashion!!!

“If you want to be a so-called ‘secretive hero’, then please know your surrounding environment first.” The Celestial Knight said with a sneer again.

Arthur was speechless. He got up, and pulled out the various measuring devices, Supporting his body, he took a few steps.

“If there is nothing else, please allow this lowly person to leave first.” Then he hurried away.

“This kid…..” The Grand Duke Leodegrance, whispered, the boy’s reaction was much colder than he had imagined. It was not much fun.

“Is he what you mentioned before, father?” The girl can’t help but ask.

“Well, he is a dragon.” The Grand Duke laughed.

“I can not imagine him being so vicious or ferocious.” Guinevere asked, “The number of photons in his body is even lower than a normal person.”

“Miracles are miracles, and all are equally unreasonable and are beyond our way of thinking.” The Grand Duke Leodegrance added.

He saw a shadow of a great destiny in the youth. He was eager to steer him forward, and take this immense power for himself.  

 

Another chapter for you all. I don’t understand why he is calling Arthur a dragon.  That’s weird….  – Magus
